Another interesting entry

A new entry for the contest

C.A.P. (Crimes Against Persons)
Prologue:
A small boy (Herman Lee Marcus) watches his mother (a prostitute) engage in her business
His mother berates him and abuses him
She makes him wear girl’s clothes and lets her clients take advantage of him
After, the small boy crawls in his closet huddles and weeps

1st Chapter:
Police Det. Manuel C. Salazar has returned a kidnapped small boy from Mexico
He returns the young boy to a Mexican family who lives in exile in the United States
Photographers & reports surround him as crowds of people erupt in applause
Det. Salazar shows a dark side to himself – he beats an arrested criminal in the elevator with no camera
Det. Salazar leaves to keep a date with beautiful young woman for coffee

2nd Chapter:
The wedding day of Marcus & his bride
Marcus’ mother berates him and insults his bride – Marcus kills his mother
He is taken to jail and goes to prison
While in prison he is subjected to a series of tests
Marcus is released from prison and taken to an insane asylum
In the asylum Marcus meets Dr. Feres
Dr. Feres starts Marcus on a series of experiments for mind control called MK ULTRA

3rd Chapter:
Marcus is released from the asylum and is taken to Mexico where he lives in a ranch
The ranch is used for occult activity for the cult – Santos de Muerte
Marcus kills multiple girls and uses the bodies in ritualistic sacrifices for the group
Marcus realizes that he enjoys the killing and goes into the United States to kill more young girls

4th Chapter:
Det. Salazar has taken a drug assassin who was sent to extort a local banker into custody
The killer berates him so Det. Salazar brutally beats him in the elevator
He is called into the office of the Chief of Detectives – Det. Salazar thinks he’s in trouble
In the office are two FBI Agents who request Det. Salazar’s assistance and information of a past criminal – there is a parallel between the killer he caught and a current serial killer (Marcus)

5th Chapter:
Marcus is participating in a ritual in Juarez, Mexico
It is a ritualistic killing of a young girl – a sacrifice
Marcus becomes euphoric shooting heroin and enjoying the ritual
He returns to El Paso where he kills again – another young girl




6th Chapter:
Det. Salazar is sitting in a strip club – he becomes lost in his thoughts mesmerized while the young girl dances to Ravel’s “Bolero” on stage
On the other side of the stage sits Marcus staring at the same young girl
Two customers interrupt the girl dancing and begin to harass her
Det. Salazar begins to fight them when three bouncers come and beat up Det. Salazar

7th Chapter:
The bouncers toss Det. Salazar outside – he is hurt badly
The girl rushes to his side and takes Det. Salazar to her house
Marcus begins stalking her

8th Chapter:
Det. Salazar’s collar bone is shattered and he shaves and looks at himself in the mirror.
He just stares at himself and begins smashing the mirror because he realizes he despises his own actions
Looking at the cracked mirror he remembers his time as a US Marine and recalls the experiments that were done on him. (MK ULTRA – similar to Marcus)

Epilogue:
Det. Salazar investigates the serial killings and realizes that they may be linked to the killings in Mexico
Det. Salazar goes to speak with an old Marine buddy (Paul Bryant) who is now an American CIA agent in Mexico
They discuss the ranch and the agent tells him of an American who has lived there for some time
Det. Salazar finds Marcus in his girlfriend’s apartment where she is tied up
Det. Salazar arrives in time to kill Marcus at this he realizes in the end that he too was trained to kill
He enters the Chief of Detectives and places his badge and gun on the Chief’s desk. He resigns
He goes outside undoes his tie and looks up and for the first time he smiles
