The first one is Gene Ha. He was the artist for DC/ABC Comics Top Ten and has done numerous covers for both DC and Marvel. At the first con, he was at a panel for breaking into comics. Afterwards, I asked him to sign my Tangent Wonder Woman Comic, which he designed the character. The Tangent line is a comic imprint of DC Comics, now a separate Earth, where the history of that Earth veered off on an entirely different Tangent. It was the brain child of Dan Jurgens. Gene designed the character appearance, and gave me some insight as to how he designed here.
Another artist that I am looking forward to seeing is my buddy Phil Jimenez, who is the sweetest and coolest person I know. I invited him to come to the Albuquerque Comic Con, but Jim invited him to this past Summer's Event Sci Fi Expo. I got to take Phil to Santa Fe and just hang out. It only took him 15 minutes to start teasing me incessantly, which meant I had to as well. We got along famously. We were already internet buddies, but after spending 5 days with him, I now can call him a friend. I got to pick his brain about our favorite gal, Wonder Woman and we even discussed Donna Troy. The only person that might love Donna more than me, is probably Phil. He drew a wonderful picture of the Wonder sisters with my sister. And a picture of Donna Troy.
Sadly, his wonderful mother passed away on New Years, and I hope he is doing well and will come.
