Volunteering!!!!!

There comes a day, when only a select few come forth, and give their time and themselves, to the Albuquerque Comic Con.


People often ask me, what is it that ACC and SFE volunteers do?



Well, I can only tell you from my perspective.  You get to hang out with the coolest geeks ever, I know it is an oxymoron. 

I did not volunteer last year because, well, I was planning, but my brother's and my buddy Max's schedules were constantly changing.  So I never followed up on it. The night before the con, Max calls me and asks if I want to go to comic con.  OK, soooo I open all these comic boxes looking for Tangent Wonder Woman, because when I think of Gene Ha, I think of Tangent Wonder Woman.


Well to be honest, ACC I was a total bust LOL.  I bumped into Gene Ha minutes after my arrival, I got to sit in the front row at his panel, and I got a pic and autograph.  All that within an hour.  My mission was complete LO:L.  Now, what I am trying to get at is, if people are worried they won't have time to do what they want, and volunteer, they are mistaken. It would have been nice to have volunteered at the first Con.

I did, however, volunteer at the Sci Fi Expo.  Again, I got to meet all the celebs and artists. I even got beat up by Ray Park, and hugged by Megan, Charisma, and Claire.  So yes guys, it is worth volunteering because you get to help wonderful people.

 Oh, one total major perk was that Chekov was bossing me around, telling me to get him this, get him that, call Jim over to his table, seriously, where else can you get your favorite Star Trek Actor to do that?
